Keen on Design?
Anna Isaykina has created a very unique look in her interior design philosophy. Not only is her focus on the use of light in a space but also the creation of harmony.
In order to record her latest project, Anna commissioned me to photograph an apartment in Lutry, Switzerland. With fantastic views across the lake, the focus was very much more on the interior.
Interestingly, this project was designed for a single man. You feel it from the moment you walk into the space.
Although filled with light, the use of masculine and muted materials reinforced with metal accents and chequered fabrics demonstrated the space as one of a man; without it becoming a man cave.
The living space flowed from the kitchen to the dining room onto the living room and finished on the terrace with views of Lake Geneva. Within this area, Anna also introduced a home-working space which could double up as a reading nook or even a games space.
This duality of usage was also evident in the dressing room where another desk area was created. Potentially another working space or even a vanity area.
The masterpiece is of course the bedroom. Beautifully designed with exquisite styling, this is possibly one of my favourite bedrooms. The use of lighting adds an imbalance that at once makes the viewer unsettled but eased. A great choice in my mind.
KeenDesign was created by ANNA ISAYKINA in 2015 as an interior design studio that specializes in residential as well as commercial projects. She carries out new construction projects and renovations.
